UnlimitedFTP Online can be easily customized to fit your exact business needs. Below are some of the examples of how the service can be implemented. These customization options are only available in the Business edition of UnlimitedFTP Online.
Example 1: Kwik Copies (Quick Printer)
Main Web Site
Kwik Copies wanted UnlimitedFTP Online to provide an easy and simple way for customers to upload files to the FTP server. Kwik Copies also wanted UnlimitedFTP Online to offer the same "look-n-feel" of their existing website. The print shop provides a "Upload Files" link from the homepage that opens a customized instance of UnlimitedFTP Online (as shown on the right.)
|
UnlimitedFTP Online
Kwik Copies has only enabled the "Upload" button of the UnlimitedFTP Online applet. This makes it very simple to use and browse through the local directory for the novice user. The print shop has also disabled the "Remote" directory listing option. This prevents customers from viewing files that already exist at the printer's end. This protects the privacy of other customers who have previously uploaded their files.

Example 2:
Mega Printer (Wide-Format Printer)
Main Web Site
Mega Printers is a wide-format printer that receives very large art work files. They needed a robust and reliable way to transfer large creative artwork files from their customer to the print shop. For large file uploads, FTP is the best solution, but not all of Mega Printers' customers know how to use FTP clients. To overcome this issue, Mega Printers deployed UnlimitedFTP Online.
|
UnlimitedFTP Online
Since Mega Printers receives very large files through FTP, they have enabled the "resume" function and a status bar window on UnlimitedFTP Online. The status bar window shows the success and status of commands, which is very important in large uploads (over 100MB.)

Example 3:
Otamo (Commercial Printer)
Main Web Site
Otamo is a commercial printer. They needed to provide secure file transfer services to their existing customers. They wanted their customers to upload creative artwork files, and download any "altered" files that the commercial printer had prepared for remote proofing. They achieved this by providing a prominent "Upload Files" link from their homepage. The customer clicks on that link to open UnlimitedFTP Online.

UnlimitedFTP Online
Otamo configured UnlimitedFTP Online with all of its functionality, including upload and download capabilities, directory browsing and secure FTP services. The lock symbol on the applet above indicates secure file transfers. For remote proofing, the customer downloads the modified files and clicks on the "view" button on the applet.
